Your Pregnancy: Week 29

Among the many perks of becoming a new mother is having someone other than yourself to shop for (a big plus when the jeans you like are $100, but a cute onesie can be had for a mere $6.99). So if you're feeling out of sorts about your ever-changing body but have a shopping itch you need to scratch, indulge in something mini and adorable for your new babe.

Wondering what's up with your body, your baby and your life this week? Read on ...

What You're Thinking:

"How can one pair of tiny little socks make me so happy?"

Your Body
Let's get right to the point: You're a bloated, water-retaining mess. Chances are good you can't get your sneakers on or your wedding ring off, so get comfy in your slippers. Your pants don't fit. Your shirts don't fit. And now, thanks to the swelling in your feet, your shoes don't fit. You can thank a wonderful thing called edema for that. Go edema!

Extreme swelling (as in "Oh my god, what happened to my hands?!") might be a sign ofpreeclampsia, so make sure to see your doctor. For mild edema, your doctor may recommend support hose—with plenty of room for your belly—and drinking plenty of water. Also, a low-salt diet may not be any fun (No potato chips! No soy sauce!), but it may help to minimize edema and water retention.

On the bright side, edema is a great excuse for sitting down, propping your feet up, and asking your partner to bring you a cool drink and this week's US Weekly.

Your Baby
Having a baby prematurely is frightening, no doubt. But here's a reason to relax: Due to the impressive advancements of medical technology, if your baby is born this week, she'd have a 9 out of 10 chance of survival, which is seriously great news. Other awesome developments:

Baby's brain can now control her breathing and body temperature. She can also cough, and her sucking abilities have been perfected. Look out, boobs!

Your Mini's skin is looking less wrinkled as she packs on the pounds. She's starting to look more like a Pampers model and less like a Depends model. She's now beefing up on the energizing and insulating white fat she'll be born with (unfortunately, white fat is not energizing and insulating for adults!).

And speaking of energy, your little Energizer Bunny is on fire these days. You're sure to feel your share of kicks, punches and elbows, especially when you're lying down. You might want to start keeping a kick chart to monitor your baby's movements, and also to later show your 13-year-old child what you endured for him or her. Ask your doctor how to count kicks and how often you should do it.

This week your baby is a little over 15 inches long—about the length of a loaf of bread—and weighs about 3 pounds, as much as a Macbook Air laptop.

Lush Review

So I have been looking for an all natural face wash and I have not had any luck. My friend Michelle who dose youtube videos and bogs witch I will put a link to her page at the bottom has been ranting about lush for sometime and it's al natural, so I saw her review on the 9-5 cleanser and funny enough when I got my stuff from lush I got a free sample and wondered why they where giving it away for free after seeing Michelle's youtube review days before haha. All I have to say is I love the stuff I got witch I will talk about in my post. Like Michelle says in her review on the 9-5 not removing make-up nor dose mine. I'll share with you what I got. I will also put a link for the Lush website at the bottom of my post as well.

Angels On Bare Skin - $8.76

Cleaner & Soft Exfoliator Suitable For All Skin Types

This is what I wash my face with you only need a "pea size" amount in your hand and then you add a little bit of water to turn it into a past. Use circler motions with your hands when scrubbing it into your skin for 5 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Breath Of Fresh Air - $8.95

Toner

Next I use the toner and it's must a light spray on mist and have no sent or taste if it gets on your lips. Don't wipe it off just let it settle into your skin.
It softens your skin with aloe; feeds it's vitamins and minerals and reduces dryness, soreness, and redness.

Celestiaz - $19.99

Facial Moisturizer

The last thing I do is moisturize. Out of all three this one is my all time favourite! I love it, it's amazing and makes your skin so silky and soft and smells really good!
The ingredients is the best part...
Vanilla, almond milk and dove orchid moisturizer for sensitive skin. Use this to soften and calm easily irritated face and protect city skin against pollution.

Make-Up Addictions

Ok so I have a new addiction it's my new BIG FATTY MASCARA by Urban Decay! I got this at Sephora Its amazing for thickening and lengthening and what dose thickening and lengthening do!? it gives you volume amazing for your eyelashes.

Another new DRUG STORE! Make-Up addiction I have is the Photo Ready Foundation SPF 20! the color I'm using now is called 005 Natural Beige. This is the all time best foundation I've used from a drug store. It's light and gives you the perfect air brush look "photo ready" it's oil free and Fragrance free yay for me since I'm pregnant and hate all smells at the moment. To go with this Foundation you always need to prime your face so it stays on and has a longer lasting out come. It's called Beyond Natural by Revlon I'm not a huge fan it's pricey for such a small tube and I can get a better one from MAC Make-Up for $6 more then this one.

The 2 eyes shadows I can't live without are from MAC I use one for my eyebrows and one in the inner cress of my eyelids for depth.
Eyebrows - I use Espresso by MAC I use my MAC angle brush # 266 to do my eyebrows
Eyelids - I use Wedge by MAC

Last but not least my Burts Bees lip chap I think I have been using this for over 3 years now and it still works it's amazing and smells like mint!

I would write more but I'm tired and going to bed now so have a good night everyone!

look how far we've come baby!

4 months and 3 weeks!!! I'm almost 5 months pregnant! And yes for everyone that wants to know...that whole 9 months is a joke... I'll be 10

months when I deliver !

This is about the time when it gets hard to breathe...the baby and his little home are pushing on all the internal organs...cramping my lung space a little...so today when I had to walk to work- it felt like a hike! ha ha ha

Little baby is moving around right now...hee hee hee...it feels so fun. At first it feels like little bubbles in your stomach..then as they get bigger...and now the size that my lil cupcake is...it feels like little poking that sometimes don't feel so great...I feel like I need to stretch up so he'll move his little leg or foot, so it's not poking in my ribs!

So me and little one will go try to cozy up in my "nest" of pillows and get comfy...and yes, I'll probably wake up 1-2 times and have to pee in the night....baby takes up lots of room, including bladder space!!!

Good Night Everyone!

Bio Oil

Hi everyone,

So I haven't done a blog in months. I have exciting news... I'm having a little boy in March! I'm 20 weeks and 1 day today November 10th, 2010! I wanted to share with you the product I'm using to NOT!
get stretch marks.

Bio Oil – A lot of people had asked me to share my thoughts on the Bio Oil I picked up in a haul a while ago. Well I have been using this every night recently and although it’s a pain to apply all over and sometimes I can’t be bothered, I just love the way it makes my skin SO smooth and soft. I even apply it to my face sometimes as a treatment and that works really well too…you just have to make sure not to apply it anywhere near your eyes or they will go puffy…also don’t apply it if you have a lot of blemishes as it may just aggravate them. You can also use Bio Oil for your scalp, by massaging it in, leaving it overnight and then washing your hair in the morning (it also adds a lot of shine!). The Bio Oil has really helped my Psoriasis too and it’s faded a lot in the last few days. I also like to use shower oils like L’Occitane Amande Shower Oil or the one that No.7 do. They’re a great way to moisturise your skin lightly without having an oily layer on your skin.
I really hope this post has helped anyone who suffers from the condition or at least helped people to understand what Psoriasis is. It’s not something that people like to talk about because it can be embarrassing to have to explain it to people (especially to a new beau in your life!). There has been a massive rise in products that only contain natural/organic ingredients and that really is a step in the right direction. I know that this condition can really knock your confidence and make you feel down about the way you look, especially when people make nasty comments or stare, but remember that you’re not alone and if you want to ask me anything, please do email me or comment below and I will be happy to answer any questions you
