Apple Caramel Cider

Hi everyone! I’m kicking off the fall season with a few of my favorite autumn themed drink recipes. The first recipe I’m going to share with you is Caramel Apple Cider, which is one of my favorite drinks to cozy up with during a cool fall night while I read. There’s something really comforting about apple cider, which I think has something to do with all the apple juice I drank as a kid… It’s kinda funny how all my comfort foods are just variations of the things I ate when I was little. Anyway, here’s the recipe for one of my favorite spins on apple cider adapted from a recipe I saw on Food.com: Caramel Apple Cider.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups apple cider (You can buy it at any grocery store—just make sure you get “cider” and not “juice.”)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons caramel sauce or dip
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • whipped cream
  • caramel flavored syrup

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a sauce pan.
  2. Heat over medium-high heat and stir (don’t let all the caramel stick to the bottom of the pan).
  3. Once the cider is hot and all the caramel has melted, pour into a mug.
  4. Top off your drink with whipped cream and lightly drizzle caramel syrup to your liking… and enjoy!

MOVEMBER NAILS!

Don't worry I know it's Sunday!
But I thought I would show you my nails from yesterday, which I did to cheer up the start of the week!

Yes, kind of crazy but it works! Every time I look down at my nails with little different moustaches on them it makes me smile. Well I find moustaches in general hilarious but on my nails it's even better.

Moustache Mugs (£11.50) from Pere Ibruegger
I took my inspiration from the above picture and have to say I think I need to put one of those moustache mugs on my Christmas List!

To actually create the moustaches I have to admit it can be a bit tricky especially doing it with your other hand but I did do it with a fine tipped Sharpie pen which did help! But as for a tutorial I really couldn't explain how to draw them on to the nails - it's just a matter of copying each style of moustache slowly and then filling them in with the sharpie pen!

Really hope you like these and even try them out Monday to see if they
cheer up the start of your own week!

“While I try to teach my son all about life, my son will teach me what life is all about.”

We all remember riding the Mary go round but, do you remember being that kid... the fearless worry free messy faced kid. I remember the just of it. I'm not going to dwell on the past but embrace it as a positive chapter in my life in making me who I am TODAY. Rising my son has been the most rewarding thing I've ever come by the most bravest thing I've ever done and the deepest love I've ever loved. I see a loving caring and amazing baby just wanting to be loved. I will rise this child from my mistake's I have made and life lessons that got thrown my way when I was lest expecting it. I look forward to learning more about myself from my son as the year's go on. : )

Coffee, energy for your skin

Besides one of the most active coffee components – caffeine that promotes lymph flow, coffee includes other useful substances, such as fruit and organic acids, fats, alkaloids, minerals, potassium, magnesium and iron. Coffee oil that is rich of linoleic acid prevents skin from aging and makes it more elastic, and also it has anti-inflammatory properties.

Well, we got added evidence that coffee is undoubtedly very very useful. And now here are some coffee beauty secrets for our skin. Of course one should use ground coffee, but not its instant analog!

Refreshing Face Lotion

Make strong coffee, pour it into ice trays and freeze. Then wipe your face by the derived ice pieces. Such coffee lotion would do a great tonic and refreshing action to your skin.

Toning Lotion

In the mornings one should wipe the face skin by cotton pad, wetted in freshly brewed coffee. This coffee lotion not just tones the skin but also adds a delicate tanned tint to it.

Face Anti-Wrinkle Mask

Dilute a spoonful of rye flour with cold strong coffee and bring it to a thick cream condition, after add an egg yolk and knead it carefully. Apply the derived mixture to your face and wash it off in 15 minutes.

Anti-cellulite Body Wrap

Spread heated coffee grounds on the problem areas of your body and wind them in plastic wrap. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then wash off. Such body scrub can be applied twice a week. Also you can simply add ground coffee to your favorite shower gel and make gentle massage.

Also coffee can restore gloss and saturation of dark hair.

Coffee Mask for Dark Hair

Beat up two egg yolks and a spoonful of rum with two spoons of warm water, and then add a spoonful of ground coffee and vegetable oil. Apply to your hair and leave for 5 minutes, after wash off with warm water.

And here is another coffee beauty secret shared by Jennifer Love Hewitt:

If you need to recover your dark hair gloss quickly: cool freely brewed strong coffee and spray it on your hair, then comb it carefully. And that’s that! ;)

WHAT!? BOX HAIR DYE!!!!?????

Ok I know this is going to go against EVERYTHING I went to school for but I'm a new mom of very active and awake half the time baby!

I have black hair as you all know...
what you might not know is I also have BLONDE roots! I know CRAZY right!?

So this blog is more of a shout out to my Mommy friends with a sold dark color to there hair!
DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU ARE BLONDE. BLONDE BOX DYE IS THE DEVIL!

Anyways moral of the blog is I hate even doing the root touch up with the brush and all takes to much time and is so messy and not baby safe if they start crying right in the middle of you applying color to your hair!

I went to Shoppers Drug Mart yesterday and picked up this box of hair dye called
Sublime Mousse # 20 for black hair. $17.00

This stuff is AMAZING!!!!!!!! FOR MOMS it's like putting on shampoo and lathering it all over your hair and it covered everything! and took me 5 mins to apply and sat with it in my hair for 30mins. when you wash it out there is no think sticky mess to wash out it comes out just like shampoo would soft and no mess.

If your a mom and you have little to no time on your hands this stuff amazed me and coming from a hairstylist it's a quick and easy fix for the time being.

Hope this helped anyone kill some home hair dying time! have a great day
by for now! <3
